Somebody emailed me about joining the Ed. Collective I thought I¹d forward
the response below in case it¹s of interest to others thinking about joining
up.
Best, G

XX, that¹s excellent.
Assuming that you¹re familiar with:
http://www.indymedia.org.nz/
Your first steps would be to check out the editorial policy, then join the
editorial mailing list and introduce yourself. If you¹ve got any questions,
people on that list will help you. There may be other Ak people on the list
you might want to hook up with face to face and collaborate on feature ideas
etc.:

Once you¹ve signed up, you may also want to check out the recent archives to
catch up on current discussions. Hyperlink available at:
http://indymedia.org.nz/mod/info/display/lists/index.php
When you have ideas for features, the writing space¹ on the Wiki page has
samples of features in progress.

As well as putting together features (the items on the centre column of the
website), the Ed. Collective also keeps an eye on the implementation of
editorial policy.

[snip] If you join the ed list - would you also be able to act as an
Auckland contact person for others who may want to join?
Hope this helps, let me know if you have any more questions.
Cheers, Geraldene
