[imc-auckland-video] SCREENINGs - second thoughts

OK, firstly well done to Mandy, Mauryn, Darcy and everybody involved
with the screening, it was great to see new names that actually ran the
event.

secondly, so the turn out wasn't great? how many exactly? or more
importantly, did we break even? we seem to have sold out/almost filled
the venue for the last year. low turn out could be for several reasons:
AK05 free events/weekend of the Cuba st. Carnival/summer- people still
away/not enough publicity etc. etc. I know we decided against having one
in February last year for some of these reasons. 

thirdly - I have serious reservations about a repeat screening, OK so we
have run the occasional repeat film in the past but usually because of a
technical mistake (wrong film screened) BUT not an entire programme. If
the intention is to have the screenings monthly then the films should be
changed accordingly.

Already it is less than two weeks before the proposed next screening, as
a vague rule of thumb, we should be promoting the event at least 3 weeks
out. (posters/fliers/first email to lists etc. etc.) which means that as
soon as a screening is happening the programme and promotion for the
next one sould be finalised and be rolling out.
