Kudos to everyone who made the weekend happen - wished I
could have made more workshops!

Points below all sound good to me.

One thought about purchasing the minidisc:
I think it's a great idea, but would like to see some clear
process in place that accounts for its distribution and use.
In the past we had thought about purchasing a video camera,
but decided against it primarily because of the difficulty
of mobility within the group (needing a constant person to
guarantee the equipment stayed in circulation); the
potential for inadvertant monopolisation of its use by a
small group; and the need for someone to who takes
responsibility for making sure that the availability of the
equipment was sufficiently and consistently publicised so
its status as a shared resource for indymedia and other
affiliated groups was well known. In one instance somebody
donated a high-end graphics computer monitor - it was
difficult to find a home for it and and although initially
made use of by one or two people, the monitor seems to have
since disappeared into the bowels of some worthy caretaking
institution.

I discussed this briefly with Omar yesterday - one
suggestion is to use a page on the wiki to keep track of the
recorder's use and whereabouts...

other thoughts?

cheers, g
