Darwin supports QT and MPEG-4 - what are these like for live streaming of
video, anyone know?
RealVideo gives very good quality-to-compression ratio. unfortunately
it's proprietary but i haven't yet found any decent open source
alternatives - i'm watching Ogg Theora and Dirac. MPEG4IP does not appear
to be mature enough either.
perhaps we should set-up an imc-video list for discussions like this 'cos
the current one - http://lists.chambana.net/cgi-bin/listinfo/imc-video -
is just a local list for the self-styled 'fiscal sponsors of global IMC'.
any thoughts?
