Hi All,

I'm wondering if we should seperate the discussion here into technical and
finance?

On a tech level - Chris you are quite right of course. I am right now posting
some arabic text (which I admit I cannot read) into the active engine and
watching it convert the characters into html. The postgres database can
store unicode characters, but I am temporarily set back. Obviously - this
has not been an issue with the bristol site!

What is the requirement on the ground - will people be wanting to post in
arabic / english / spanish etc, and to post translations?

Obviously there's no harm in looking at alternatives. There's also the issue
of right-to-left which I assume is essential to display arabic text
correctly.

So if anyone does have an arabic content camagement system ready to go - let's
see it!

Meanwhile I will continue to see if the current site can be tweaked to work.
