i think that multiple list admins is a good idea -- one that's in keeping
with Indymedia's inclusive decision-making structures.

i would love to know what people are working on also. from my end of
things, i will bring a proposal to the Urbana-Champaign IMC's finance
working group to offer fiscal sponsorship to IMC-Baghdad. this doesn't
wed us to having to accept the UCIMC's offer, but will allow us to move
forward quickly if we decide to go with this option (assuming the UCIMC
agrees to do this).
in terms of bank accounts, paypal, etc., the UCIMC already has all of this
infrastructure in place -- it would be extremely easy for me to set up a
separate account for IMC-Baghdad and create on-line donations options
using our paypal and network for good accounts.
also, the UCIMC has an online searchable grant information directory
(there's information on 10,000 different funding opportunities there) --
if we go the way of sponsorship, this would be available for our use also.
obviously, this is only one option, but in my opinion, it would be a great
way to make resources available to grantwriters, get a banking and
donation infrastructure in place quickly, and build some momentum. we
just need to decide how we want to proceed. i (obviously) am all for
doing this.
