[imc-baghdad] newspaper or website?

I'm wondering if we are all on the same page here. Seems there are two
different things being discussed as far as planning and fundraising goes. 1-
the newspaper 2- a Baghdad IMC website

Given the facts: there is only sporatic electricity in Iraq, telephone
service is limted, very few Iraqis have access to the internet, and the
people on the ground in Baghdad are concentrating on the newspaper - Doesn't
it make more sense for us to focus on finding support for the newspaper
while doing what we can to get the site ready for when conditions improve.
Seems to me the site and the newspaper could be complementary projects.

Maybe this is what everyone is already thinking- I just want to get some
clarity.

Peace, Beth

This came in from ramzi: (on the iraq-paper list)

electricity is off here most of the day, most days &
when it's on, we're usually making use of it to
quickly type articles for the first issue of
al-muajaha (out on monday, inshallah)... it's
difficult for me to respond to these requests in a
timely fashion... can someone else take responsibility
to do so? please?

please use the proposal sent earlier for such
requests.. it should be out there/folks should have it
somewhere...

regards,
ramzi
