Dear friends,

I'll take the application form to the group, but,
honestly, I think this is premature. Until folks here
have their own, independent, internet access (at
least!) I'm not sure it makes sense to formally begin
the process of starting imc baghdad. For example, *I*
was suggested as the "contact person" on the
application - and I'm not Iraqi, I don't even speak
Arabic! ???

We'll send along pictures of all the staff, and brief
bios, as well as a description of the paper/project,
and it would be good to post that prominently on the
home page of the website. We'll also try to do a pdf
version of the next issue to be linked to, again, on
the home page.

What folks came up with here in terms of an editorial
policy, is:

1) the homepage should be for articles - in Arabic and
English - from each issue of Al-Muajaha.

2) another page/section should be set up for "web
extras" - articles that don't appear in the weekly
paper, but that folks here write for themselves, in
either Arabic or English (likely mostly in Arabic),
and

3) a third page/section should be set up for open
posts from anyone, anywhere, and clearly marked as
from "outside iraq."

How does that work for all of you?

Regards,
Ramzi
