I think its really important that they maintain the satellite
connection until telecommunications become more readily available in
iraq. it is alot of money, but i think its crucial that they be able
to communicate with the outside world at this fragile time. it will
be difficult to maintain the energy already started worldwide for
this project if we have no way of getting word from them. I do think
Jacquie's suggestion of trying to find alternative ways of connecting
from there is good, but optimally we should really keep the focus on
trying to raise as much as we possibly can. also, we should remember
that satellite is only a temporary solution, this project is not
going to cost $1000/month in communication fees forever.
telecommunications will come back up. is there any word on when this
might happen, Ramzi?

Crystal, I have not heard back from Alan. Maybe you could somehow
take both those things on?
I think you should send the money to uc-imc, and i propose that on
the 29th or so, right before i leave we see how much is in the
account and then sascha can make a transfer to me and i will deliver
what we have. does that sound good to everyone?

we also have friends doing a benefit party in the uk on the 7th.....

Ramzi, I recieved word from your friend in Amman, and I have told him
that i will deliver the money to you from him if he doesn't come to
Baghdad before me.

keep up the good work all,
andy
