I almost don't have the heart to send out this announcement for the new
Feature article by Raida Hatoum in Beirut and another one by Cyprus

I'm emotionally spent - I've gone through hundreds of photos of mangled
bodies of children and adults, bodies dismembered, crushed, burned with
phosphorus, burned with napalm, burned with "normal" fire, bodies broken
under rubble, bodies twisted, beheaded, torn by shrapnel, bodies with
their entrails spilled out... all from the recent few weeks of war in
Being a war survivor myself, plus being someone who's worked in the past
chopping up bodies in the morgue and the laboratory (the official job
description is "Prosector", a term we use in teaching Anatomy), I had
thought better I should do this search and edit work than someone else
among us. Still, it wasted me.
And I'm not the only one. I saw photos of rescue crews in Lebanon
finding bodies so badly abused that they crew members themselves (used
to picking up bodies all day) are breaking down in tears and paralyzed,
unable to cope...
Please distribute these articles far and wide, help us make more people
aware, help us end this war.
