Hello all,

I don't know how much good any of these suggestions will do. But it's a 
fun thought, and some of them are good ideas regardless of which servant 
of Sauron is in the White House. Instead of "shop blue," I would go a 
step further and say "shop green." ;) Happy Holidays, my fellow Americans!

The Best Gift any True Blue American can give GwB
this Christmas is to find alternatives to boosting his economy.

Our goal is to reduce Xmas spending while increasing Christmas Joy.
Try a modest 10% reduction in purchases for each person in your
household and on your list.  Spending 20% less is even better.
(10% x 50 million True Blue Americans may catch his attention.)

The 12 guidelines below begin this new 4 year patriotic Holiday
tradition with a list of simple things us ordinary folks can do with a
very simple commitment: *spend less.*  You'll be glad you did!

*1)  _Make it._*  Gifts that you make not only keeps your money out of
circulation, but reduces taxes paid, all undermining GwB's economy.
If you can use renewable or recycled materials, all the better.

*2)  _Bake it._*  Gifts of food, made by yourself or others don't add to 
the
permanent clutter of life.  Food gifts are here today, gone tomorrow,
just like GwB will be.  And think healthy!

*3)*  *_Shop Blue._*  If you know a business (like Walmart) that supported
GwB, don't shop there.  Look for Blue businesses instead. Figure it out!
We've got brains, which makes us different from the mindless Red hoard.

*4)  _Shop in Blue States._*  Live in a Red State?  Use mail order catalogs
and the internet to Shop Blue.  NoMoFloridaOJ: try WA apple juice, or
MA cranberry.  Support Blue people.  Diminish Red people.

*5)  _Buy Local._*  Hometown owned and operated stores on Main Street
are being driven out of business by Red megastores.  Spend a few cents
more to support local Blue merchants, and tell them why you're doing it.

*6)  _Buy locally handmade gifts._*  Why buy bangles from Bangladesh
when you can have a beautiful bowl from a local potter?  Craftspeople,
artisans, bakers and horticulturists help keep your money working
locally.  You can bet they won't be shipping their jobs overseas!

*7)  _Avoid "Made in China"._*  Why does Red America support welfare
for communist Chinese, at the expense of a decent life for struggling
Americans?  Rich Red people make fortunes from cheap Chinese labor,
and by cutting jobs and benefits to patriotic American workers.

*8)  _Give Books._*  Seek books that educate about GwB's continuing
corruption of our Nation at taxpayer expense. Hundreds of great books
to choose from, like Robert Kennedy, Jr's "Crimes Against Nature".

*9)  _Reduce Kid's TV._*  During this holiday season, plan to do more
things with your kids.  Less TV means fewer ads, creating less desire
for Red America's products.  Get outdoors instead.  Or help them make
something. It'll do you and your kids (or grand kids) a world of good!

*10)  _Reduce Driving._*  Plan better: take fewer trips.  Oil is the key to
GwB's economy: our 2nd Persian Gulf Oil War, drilling the Arctic, and
selling more gas guzzling SUVs.  Carpool. Bike. Walk. Or just don't go.
And reducing demand brings prices (and profits) down.

*11)  _Return it!_*  Already bought stuff?  Return 25% of it (or more).
There's still time to make it / bake it instead.  And returning 
purchases to
Red Businesses raises their costs, reducing their profits even more, and
multiplying the value of your gift to GwB.

*12)  _Buy yourself a loaner gift._*  Revolve gifts on your revolving 
credit.
Buy it on approval. Enjoy the thought of owning it for a couple of weeks.
Decide you don't want it and return it within the same credit card cycle.
Smile.  And wish GwB an ever Merrier Christmas!
