Binghamton Bridge and the Center for Gender, Art, and Culture are promoting
connections in the community and helping progressive groups *extend their

Geoffrey Gould presents "Shades of Nature" with Bill Gorman whose show is
entitled "The Sea." Both are wonderful photographers who have exhibited at
the Cooperative Gallery 213 for many years. They will host an opening
reception on Thursday April 5th from 5-8 pm and then on First Friday from 3
pm to 9 pm. The Cooperative Gallery is regularly open on Fridays from 3- 6
pm and Saturdays 12- 4 pm.

photographs along with Bill Gorman who will exhibit "The Sea." There is an
artist reception Thursday April 5th from 5- 8pm at the Cooperative Gallery.
The exhibits will also be open to the public on First Friday April 6th from
3- 9 pm. There will also be a reception with the artists on Earth Day April
22nd from 3- 6 pm. The Cooperative Gallery is regularly open Fridays 3-6 pm
and Saturdays 12-4 pm and by appointment.

Film & Food Series – Big Night
Please join the ART Mission and Theater Thursday night at 7pm for the third
installment of our Food and Film Series. The evening will begin with
delicious food samplings from Tranquil Bar & Bistro while mingling with
fellow food and film aficionados. At 7:45, there will be an introduction to
the film Big Night by Professor Ingeborg Majer O’Sickey of Binghamton
University. At 8:00pm the screening of the film will begin. After the film,
there will be a short discussion. Tickets should be purchased in advance at
the ART Mission and Theater.

April's Open House concludes it's three part celebration of Southern Tier
Technology In Space by showcasing the Link Apollo simulator team.

11-1 PM Linkites gather to reminisce on the intense 109 week effort to
build the tools to train the astronauts and flight controllers.

1 PM Gene Abbey, retired Link Apollo Technical Program Manager, will speak
on how the project was designed and built in record time.

1:30 Frank Hughes, retired Chief, Space Flight Training, NASA, will speak
on using Link simulators to train astronauts and flight controllers from
Apollo to the Space Shuttle.

Andrei Guruianu lives in New York City where he teaches in the Expository
Writing Program at New York University. He is the author of a memoir, Metal
and Plum (Mayapple Press, 2010), and four collections of poetry: Postmodern
Dogma (Sunbury Press, 2011), And Nothing Was Sacred Anymore (March Street
Press, 2009), Front Porch World View (Main Street Rag, 2009), Days When I
Saw the Horizon Bleed (FootHills Publishing, 2006). He is also the founder
of the literary journal The Broome Review, and from 2008 to 2010 he served

*Tuesday April 3 *- Restore the American Promise Statewide Networking
Meeting
Take Action 2012  Join Us -We are gearing up for the 2012 Season - Many of
us our committed to working to Restore Jobs - Protect our Pensions - Social
Security, Medicare & Medicaid - Tax Fairness -Tax 1%- Voter Owned Elections
and Much More. Together we will Share our agendas, develop plans and
strategies Plan For Congressional Recess Activities, build Our Regional
Networks, create Truth Squads to call out the misinformation on Social
Security, Medicare, other issues and much much more.
Carpooling from Binghamton and leaving from the Citizen Action office at
7:30 with expected time of return about 6:00.  We will pick up in Oneonta
at 8:30. Meeting at SEIU/1199 - 155 Washington Ave., Albany NY.

cook and share a free hot vegetarian meal every Sunday at the Ritchie
Building, operated by Lutheran Redeemer Church, at 149 Chapin St (the white

CVS). Meals are shared from 1-2pm inside the Ritchie Building (until warm

events such as speeches, lectures, panel discussions, workshops etc. on a
case-by-case basis. He currently has public access TV shows in Binghamton,
Ithaca, Oneonta, Norwich, and Syracuse, and can bring your event to a

become a regional information clearinghouse to promote new and existing
sustainability efforts, a source for sustainability training and education,
a center for networking and coordination and an advocacy group that builds
community support for public policies that further our mission.
