<http://binghamtonbridge.org/?q=node/2689>

Mirrors of Privilege: Making Whiteness Visible –A documentary film and
guided discussion offered by the Social Justice Committee of the Unitarian
Universalist Congregation. This film provides pathways for learning that
can build real bridges between white people and people of color, who can
then have authentic relationships across a racial divide. Mirrors of
Privilege allows white people to find their own voice, and to reflect on
their own experience. They hear from role models — other white people who
have committed themselves to racial justice.

"The Way Forward: Passing Municipal Fracking Bans and Building New York's
Green Economic Renaissance" <http://binghamtonbridge.org/?q=node/2698>

The economic benefits of gas production are over-stated, short-lived and
unsustainable. A growing movement of towns and cities are using their
zoning authority to pass bans and moratoria, safeguarding our communities
from this dangerous extractive in-dustry. A green economic renaissance
should be ag-gressively pursued to create sustainable jobs and prosperity
in New York for generations to come. This is a critical turning point in
the history of our region, and the road we take forward will be determined
by those who take action now to support their beliefs and interests.

community members as possible. The best way to have your event noticed by
the most people is to post it on the binghamtonbridge.org site. (see above,
it's easy). We will list recurring weekly and monthly events below, but
these listings will not be linked to a story on the site the way listings
on the events calendar do. Also, the calendar listings AUTOMATICALLY get
included in this newsletter, making it more effective and less time
consuming for the editor. If you are doing an event that repeats, please
use the Advanced Repeat menu so that it doesn't appear every day! Also,
please include a phone contact. Problems? contact us at
binghamtonbridge at gmail.com Thank you!

You can add your event to this mailing *and to the binghamtonbridge.org:
click on Publish, then Events. You can also SEE the calendar at the
