IMC-Binghamton website editors:
Be on the watch for articles which have "local interest to this IMC"
checked, but which are not of local interest.
When people from outside our area post to our newswire, they have learned
that if they check "local interest to this IMC", then it puts it on the
top of the right column. If they leave it unchecked, their article get's
placed in "Elsewhere", which is halfway down the page.
When I see articles which are like this, I've started unchecking this
box. I suggest you all do the same.
Note: I left the Ward Churchill articles, since he was going to speak
at Hartwick, so this has a local angle.
Anyway, here's how to do it:
1) Click on the article link,
2) click on "edit this article" (you must be logged in as an editor account),
3) uncheck the "local interest" box,
4) Submit article (gives a preview), then
5) Submit article
Peace,
BH
