Hi there Indy-network!!

A few of us in London were wondering how many folks
from regional indys other than London were coming down
to help out in the Indymedia tent and workshops at the
camp, or to the camp in general. If folks let us know
what interest and help is out there, then we can
facilitate more informal arrangements, getting down
here etc, later on :)

The camp runs from 14th - 21st August, a lot of days
for meeting, chatting, working together and providing
a way to bring the climate camp to hundreds of
thousands of people and it turn bringing them into an
amazing week of workshops, off-grid sustainable living
and actions.

The set up will be the same more or less, as last
year, a lot of the infrastructure is being organised
now.

There are several workshops proposed at the moment, one
is a 'political/theoretical' workshop based on the
idea of indymedia as a form of action rather than
perceived as a service provider. Maqui's text from
last year's climate camp has an interesting basis for
this:
http://www.indymedia.org.uk/en/2006/10/352449.html

There will also be a photography workshop and various
other 'how-to' workshops based on guides to
understanding how to get to grips with a variety of
media, provided by Genny :)

If regional groups or individuals want to propose
workshops, we have until Wednesday 4th July to do
this.
I propose that we use the network list to communicate
about the climate camp as it saves another list being
set up. So thoughts on coming to the camp, feedback
and workshops can be proposed here.

Look forward to hearing from the network :)
