  So, we've been in contact with our partners in Chiapas to see whether it's possible to get hold of some footage of the struggles and also to have the film subtitlted into English. We're still waiting to hear. We'll be in touch as soon as we have some news - hopefully very soon.

Tuesday's screening at Rooty Frooty seemed to go really well. Even 
though there was another screening scheduled somewhere else we had a 
great turnout of around 30 people. Thanks to everyone who tried to stay 
late, but unfortunately the Indy Oax campaneros didn't make it until 11 
pm. We managed to raise a little bit of money to cover their costs to 
continue the tour to Liverpool.

There's more good news - the Indy Oaxaca people have promised to return 
to Birmingham in August. They've also left us a copy of their DVD which 
is really inspiring and it clearly shows how Indy Oax are a major part 
of the uprising in Oaxaca and the repression they are facing as imcistas 
(indymedia volunteers). People are welcome to copy and distro the films. 
Please get in touch if you'd like a copy.

Coincidentally one of the speakers who graciously filled in for us has 
made a film about Chiapas that we could possibly screen in the future. 
i've copied them into this email, so maybe they can fill us in a little

Perhaps we could do another film screening that focuses on Chiapas and 
help initiate some kinda solidarity group in Birmingham?
