Hey all,
Other films we discussed for drop beats:

Zeistgeist - What does Christianity, 911 and The Federal Reserve all have in
common..

Merchants of cool - about 'coolhunters' in America buying and selling youth
culture

Outfoxed - examines how media empires, led by Rupert Murdoch's Fox News,
have been running a "race to the bottom" in television news. This film
provides an in-depth look at Fox News and the dangers of ever-enlarging
corporations taking control of the public's right to know.

The BBC Scotland g8 film

Who killed the electric car

Sicko

Possibly a Mark Thomas special or two..

George bush don't like black people

Local Birmingham stuff

As well as the usual shorts we play, labofii, what barry says etc..
Any other last minute suggestions from people?

Hi,

Three of us, myself, dysect and shiar met up in irc last night to
discuss the drop beats screening on friday 14th.
I also got to visit the que club last night briefly to check out the
room we're using. We've got what was the 'chill-out' area on the right
hand side of the main room.
There's a wall that cuts across the room that we can use as a screen.
We've got a screen sorted and there's a PA there for us. We just need a
projector and lots of leads.

In terms of films, we discussed using the shorts dysect has archived on
a harddisk. dysect has a copy of zeitgeist
http://www.zeitgeistmovie.com/, and some other stuff - maybe you could
fill us in ;)

Shiar's got a copy of the London Cleaner's film, Janitors.

I've recently got hold of the following:
Reel News no.8 which includes films of the g8 blockade in germany:
http://www.reelnews.co.uk/
Molotov 2: http://www.submedia.tv
We: http://www.weroy.org/
and we've also got films from oaxaca

We discussed downloading stuff from other mobilisations such as climate
camp and this years DSEi.

If you want to suggest something to screen, then you'd better hurry up :)

phunkee
