Hi ,

We have done some cleaning in the access logins for mir (the imc uk site
admin interface)

We should be doing this often but the last time it was done was a year
ago, when we
disabled logins that had not been used for 6 months or more, can't
remember. After
a year now, that no one has complained about not being able to log in,
those logins
have been deleted.

That left 135* logins, of which about 65* appear to not have been used
for 6 months or so.
About 60 of those are now disabled, waiting for their holders to
complain next time they
try to do some admin work, or waiting to be deleted hopefully in no
longer than 6 months
time from now, since having a login that is not used is kind of a
security threat.

People who find that they have difficulties accessing site admin can
either identify the
person who can help them in their local collective, or write to:

imc-uk-mir-access at lists.indymedia.org

and, if people are aware of a mate or two that are no longer involved in
indy stuff, it would be great if they told us that it is ok to delete
their logins to avoid the security threat mentioned above.

The figures marked with * have changed since the last time I counted
because some people have asked me to definitely remove their access, for
which I am very grateful.

Thanks all...

ana
