Hi,

After the success of the last screening at the Rainbow Warehouse, well done
everyone!, a lot of people mentioned it'd be worth getting more screening
events going for the future. So if you've got any ideas, or thoughts on the
last one, fire them up on the list :)

I've been discussing the idea of an 'evening of industrial unrest' with Shiar.
This came up more recently when we couldn't screen the industrial action films
at the IWW Mayday event. So perhaps the following could resolve this.

We are proposing to show a series of shorts that we've filmed about industrial
disputes in Birmingham and invite people from the films to come and speak about
the strikes and where they're going next.

So far we've got the National Blood Service campaign, the posties, public sector
workers including teachers. There's also been some coverage on our newswire
about the Shelter dispute, which is also local, but we haven't got round to
thinking about a film yet ;)

Any feedback would be really appreciated.

In Solidarity,

phunkee
