[IMC-bristol] Meeting Place

Hello,

It's true that we don't have fixed date meetings, so that we can in
principle have them anywhere, but I think fixed date & fixed place
meetings is what we should be looking at. Using BSTW as an example, one
of the reasons our meetings survive is precisely because people know
we'll be there.

I would suggest, like Tony, somewhere in the city centre, on say the 2nd
Monday of every month. The County Sports Club is a possibility, but you
have to remember it is a membership club (although only loosely),
meaning someone would have to ask out of politeness at least.

As for moving around the city, I do appreciate the thinking behind this,
but it is really a form of tokenism. The real job is to do the outreach,
not a public relations style excercise where we can subsequently point
to all the pubs we've been to :o) The City Centre is accessible to
everyone, & everywhere else, regardless of where it is, is only
accessible to some.
