now you remind me, i knew about the undercurrents thing actually, ian
had mailed list about it
i think we need to be a bit flexible if poss and include something
fairford-related as the trial - iraq war on trial in bristol:
potentially big news - starts that day and its good if we can be timely
with it.
given ians message regarding backing off from indymedia activity until
tony situ resolved, i guess its up to the rest of the group whether we
can rise to the topical occasion and get something fairford-esque in
there, perhaps negotiate with paul o'connor (undercurrents) - he may
even be planning to show something related himself? or swap one of the
shorts to next month - i wonder whether jon would mind moving back a
month for example, and then we could give him bit more time, i saw him
talk at bristol uni once and was interesting. cube deadline for copy is
12th, and nothing submitted to them as yet, so we need to move on this...
anyway you're right that we need to keep track of what we're
programming: tony came round to the cube last night looking to tell cube
that he'd been talking to james garratt (htv) about showing his merchant
venturers film, when we've already got it in march's programme as a
feature of the indymedia night. worryingly james seemed to have
forgotten this when he talked to tony, from what tony said, so can
ian/tony let me have james' number so the cube can confirm it with him -
thanks.
lets have a films round-up on monday to get future films pencilled in.
and i think pru's place is a great location for the next/tony meeting.
cheers,
kyrax
