More than a directory, the media guide provides information for more
than 3,500 journalists and 700 outlets, as well as advice on
developing strong relationships with the media, phone and fax lists,
media plan worksheets and checklists, a list of freelance journalists,

Help plan testimony at Chicago's FCC Hearing next month
The FCC is holding its fifth official public hearing on media
ownership issues in Chicago Thursday, September 20, at a time and
location TBA. The national organization Free Press and a coalition of
local organizations are helping mobilize and organize those who wish
to testify and participate in the hearing.
They plan an organizing meeting from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29 at
Community Media Workshop, 619 S. Wabash Ave. s. 201.
