Hi there,
As you may know, United for Peace and Justice is holding its 3rd national assembly at the Wyndham O'Hare Hotel June 22-24.
We are seeking 6-7 volunteer videographers to help us record this event. If you would be willing to help, or know of
anyone who might be, please email or ask them to email me at susan at unitedforpeace.org ASAP
Unfortunately, we cannot offer payment for this work. We will provide digital video tape stock. Volunteers will need
to bring their own cameras.
Assignments will depend on how many volunteers we get and what their availability is, but they will likely consist of
shooting the plenary sessions on Friday and Saturday, or part of one of them, shooting a breakout session or workshop or
two, and perhaps doing some short interviews with assembly participants.
Also, we are in desperate need for sound equipment for the main assembly room throughout the weekend: microphones,
stands (both for stage mics and table mics), cables, mixer, PA, etc. If you know of any movement-friendly folks who
would be able to provide all of the above (including set-up and testing) and give us a good deal (the hotel's service
wants $1,000), we'd be extremely grateful.
Thanks!
