Health Care Reform Is Alive and Moving Forward!

During our January Faith Caucus conference call, the consensus was that it is time to TURN UP THE HEAT! Starting the week of February 15th, health care reform activists in Illinois will be kicking off a series of actions in targeted congressional districts throughout the state.

Next Tuesday, Feb. 16th, CBHC will be holding two "Die-In" events to release a new Families USA report, "Lives On the Line: The Deadly Consequences of Delaying Health Reform."   The report examines the number of deaths in Illinois between 1995 - 2009 due to a lack of health care, and casts projections on the number of deaths expected between 2010 - 2019 if Congress does not pass reform.
