Registrations are now open for the GE-Free Action Roadshow's Christchurch

at Get Up, Stand Up on the 24th.

What action can we take about the genetic engineering of our food and 
agriculture? The GE-Free Action Roadshow will feature presentations on group 
building, culture jamming, legal considerations, media relations, the 
history and philosophy of nonviolent direct action, campaign strategy, 
effective blockading and safe decontamination.

They will be in Chch on the Saturday the 31st of July, at the Environment 
Centre (64 Kilmore Street - near Cranmer Square). More details can be found

Also, Peace Wekk starts on the 6th of August with the commemoration of the 
Hiroshima nuclear bombing. Salaam.

Washington, London, and other imperialist powers are on an offensive to 
prevent Third World nations from developing nuclear power as a source of 
energy. The Militant Labour Forum will be by taking up why the labour 
movement in New Zealand and other industrialized countries should champion 
the efforts by workers and farmers in the Third World to expand 
electrification in their countries.

Commemoration of the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki

Come to Victoria Square at 6pm for the annual lantern ceremony, with poetry, 
music, and speakers including Garry Moore and Moana Cole.

Saturday 7th August
War Crimes Trial for George W. Bush, Tony Blair and John Howard

The accused should be tried by the International Criminal Court and 
reparations paid to victims by the US, UK and Australia. They will be 
charged and sentenced for major war crimes by The Peoples Court of 
Christchurch, in a one-hour trial in Victoria Square from midday.
