[Imc-cleveland] April 10 Immigrant Protests

I'm writing in anticipation of the upcoming day of protest for 
immigrants rights on April 10. According to this site 
(http://www.cirnow.org/content/en/april10_2006.htm), there is a protest 
scheduled in Detroit and Cincinnati. Is your collective planning to do 
coverage of this event? Or, have you run any background pieces on this 
issues, or interviews with the protest organizers, or even better, 
stories by organizers?

I'm working with several folks from the IMC-US editorial team to try to 
coordinate as much timely grassroots coverage as possible of this 
quickly growing movement. It seems like a great time to use the IMC 
network because nothing has moved people like this issue has in the last 
month! We are going to be building a sub-page on the indymedia.us site 
to link to all the events, so please be in touch as your coverage plans 
develop. It would be especially great to get video and audio of the 
protests, and to encourage as much first person reporting from the 
events as possible.

Remember that local imc stories only syndicate to the US site if the 
local imc promotes them to features. If you have any questions about 
this process let me know --
