any coding into the bitweaver to mirror/replicate data amongst multiple
servers. Other database engines require a different approach.

Modularity - you only install the modules you need and tailor it as you
decide what you want. Themes are independent of codebase and everything
can be re-used.

I think that because of the modular design of bitweaver the conflicts
that are happening in other CMS's projects where differing requirements
conflict with core elements are avoided as people can branch their own
builds of a package meeting their own requirements. The differing views
of people on the Indymedia network has required different CMS packages,
but bitweaver would provide a stable common base providing compatibility
of data across all sites.

The core system is stable but we do need to expand the translation
management package. This is intended to provide multiple versions of a
content item in different languages. The user will be supplied with a
version of an item either in his own language, or if not available one
in a secondary preferred language. The problem has been agreeing on how
translations are handled and still maintain the inter content links.

Another area for improvement is the event/diary packages, but these can
be bolted in as required.

The commerce package still needs further work on the cross database SQL
since the zencart base was not writen with this in mind, but the package
is now stable and using the bitweaver core.

> d) Where do you see Bitweaver in five years?
Personally - all of my commercial work will be based on it.
