With WebDAV a static Frontend Mirror would only need mod_ssi and  
mod_webdav. No ssh no rsync etc. Is that user firendly enough? :)

Well, for the backend grid, there are some more requierments and to  
top it, ICE is a pain in the ass to install. However, the backend  
grid should only run with 100% trusted servers anway.
