TECHMEET 2008 UPDATE -- RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL

Close to forty Indymedia techs and other "social techs" are descending 
upon Rio de Janeiro as this e-mail is being sent for the third year and 
second face-to-face meeting of Techmeet!

Upon the suggestion of the volunteers working on the large, new 
Indymedia architecture, a virtual meeting is being worked on -- via IRC, 
video, audio -- whatever we can manage. It should take place sometime 
this coming Saturday (Sept 6) or Sunday (Sept 7). We'll plan the details 
and post them around to all these lists.

If you with to participate in the virtual meeting, you can either:

1) Specifically e-mail me (ryan at linefeed.org) and I'll make sure that 
you get the appropriate information, or

2) Keep watching this list as well as the Techmeet website for specific 
information on the virtual meeting (less reliable than option #1)

Again, we'll send out the information as it becomes available or you can 
monitor the Techmeet website.

Because nine years of hard work and investment into Indymedia to watch 
it dissipate should turn the stomach of any half-way dedicated media 
militant, participate in Techmeet!!
