Tsunami casualties 15000 killed

The government of the Province (Pemprov) North Sumatra dropped SAR teams
off to look for casualties in the Nias Regency, on Monday.
Apart from to the Nias Regency, Pemprov North Sumatra also mobilised SAR
teams to several regions in the Serdang Bedagai Regency.
Help also took the form of 20 cardboard boxes of instant noodles,
cooking oil, machines, and clothes for refugees.

National Mourning
President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono in Jayapura, on Monday, announced a
Day of National Mourning following the occurrence of the earthquake that
caused the tsunami in NAD and North Sumatra that caused thousands of
people to be killed.
"Considering the number of fatalities and the scale it was maintained by
me as a National Day of Mourning for three days."

citizens who were affected by the earthquake.
"More than half the TNI strengths were mobilised to help the Acehinese
citizen," he said.
The chairman MPR of the Guidance Nur Wahid sent his deepest condolences
on the disaster that fell on some areas of NAD. That was sent by the
Guidance in Padang, on Sunday
"I supported the government to make the earthquake disaster and this
Tsunami the National Disaster," he said.
