[Imc-communication] introduction for subscribtion

[Notts IMC]

Hi there

My name is Wietse, I thought i'll introduce myself as i'd like to be on
the IMC's communications list.

I work as part of the new Nottinghamshire (Nottingham, UK) IMC collective.
We are a very diverse, enthusiastic and energetic collective that have
been working for some time to get a good collective established, to ensure
we have a good basis to work from as a long term project.

We have also made a film about the G8 ministerial meeting in Sheffield,

Various other video projects are planned and we hope to have opened an
open, easily accessible media centre in the city of Nottingham soon. This
centre would allow people to access the internet, collaborate in workshops
and training and be an open social space. Locally we are working with a
variety of community groups, and we are working to ensure our collective
is broad, diverse and accessible.

Also, we have set up a working group called the 'access group' that workes
to ensure that our website (and hopefully in the future other indy sites)
is accessible to people with disabilties. Our aim in the near future is
also to have (on request) our content available on audio, large print and
