IMHO it would help to 'level the field', to reflect the diversity of
ways of doing indymedia work in Belgium, to promote peaceful
co-existence (and perhaps even more mutual understanding and aid), if as
a first step imc-belgium would accept, for now, to let the global
network take control of the belgium.indymedia.org url and point it to a
neutral, independent web page from which *all* belgian imcs would be
linked. And then let further mediation happen.

In fact, the imc-belgium server and all imc-belgium pages that I can see
in the web use the url indymedia.be - at present belgium.indymedia.org
works just like an alias for indymedia.be - so the integrity and history
of your site would be largely unaffected: please correct me if I'm
wrong. (eg. type in the url
http://www.belgium.indymedia.org/features/circus/ and you actually go to
http://www.indymedia.be/features/circus/ - btw the mediacircus looks
like great grassroots work to my eyes, whoever finances it ;) ).

And perhaps the other belgian imcs would find in themselves less to
complain about and more willingness to just concentrate on doing their
own work their own way once this first step is resolved...
