[Imc-communication] UC-IMC the headquarters of indymedia?

Hello,
I had no idea that we even had a "fiscal sponsor". A lot of imc:s have bank-accounts. A lot of imc:s sponsor other projects. A lot of imc:s need an accountant for tex-declarations or other paper-work. A lot of imc:s also do that work on their own, without getting paid. So someone having a bank-account, being the centre of either the US-american network or the global network... does that mean that I have been working for IMC_UC all the time witHout knowing about it? Forgive me, but i don't even know where UC is located.

actually the impression is rather different: UCIMC seems to promote 
itself in that way much to often/
Can't you even remeber the uproar it caused when UC IMC included this 
same sentence into the EFF text about ahimsa?

looks like we spend hours on the same arguments there before the 
sentence was finally removed.

And on a practical measure: how much money did UC IMC get as percnetage 
added to grant applications? who got it and what was it used for?

And why does anybody think that work that includes money should be paid? 
  Of course writing grants is work. But why do we maintain servers, and 
mailing lists for free, why do we spend hours on a global site without 
getting paid, why do we help other imcs aout of solidarity, while UCIMC 
thinks it needs to be paid for something that UCIMC as a collective, or 
Sasha as an individual does as part of global network activities?
