This is a different matter. IMCs join the network after a loooong
process, taking much, much longer than one or even four weeks (I doubt
any IMC has ever joined the network in less than a month). The process
of joining is supported by the new-imc working group. Only IMcs which
fulfill a set list of requirements are able to join, and the new-imc
working group makes sure these are met. New-IMC is a small working group
and can make decisions quickly. The final decision on whether a new IMC
can join the global network doe snot take long, as it's quite pro forma.

A disaffiliation is not currently handled by aseperate working group
(might be an idea to consider changing this btw), it is handled by all
IMCs together, and should never be taken lightly, not even in this case
which seems to be very clear. This is why, I too, think one week is a
pretty short time for a disaffiliation. We should extend it, even if
it's just to prevent to create an image which might make some people
think that some topics are less sensitively handled than others.

This is probably just a technical issue. Currently, several IMCs are
missing from this list (i.e. more than usually, as some seem to always
be missing) as the database (known as "contact DB" or "IMC Database")
which this list is normally derived from, is currently not available,
and the list is actually just an outdated backup of what the list used
to look like some time ago. More information on this is available on the
