Hello,

I wanted to express my thanks for two related items.

One is my thanks for these segments below from a recent letter written
by John Windmueller on issues related to the procedures on imc-process:

John W. wrote:
"...Unfortunately, there's yet to be the concerted effort by a working
group or collective to facilitate a conversation and, ultimately, a
proposal for modifying global decision making.  I hope that will
eventually happen. Personally, I'm very willing to volunteer to pitch in
labor to the effort."

And,

"...I want to just re-iterate that I agree with the sentiment that
global Indymedia decision making isn't what it can or should be.  It's
not as deeply inclusive or effective as I think anyone in Indymedia
wants.  It struck me that folks seemed to be getting adversarial in
talking about this process, when really, I think there's some commonly
shared desires and principles about the need for more change and
improvement."


These segments are wonderful and excellent elements and foundations of
what might ultimately become a solution to the dysfunction we face on
imc-process. Most important is the focus on our commonly shared desires
and principles, and the need for a working group or collective to
facilitate conversations on imc-process. I'm very grateful to have read
these statements, and I'd be happy to see that spirit invested in the
efforts to cultivate a smoother and more democratic set of procedures
among our Liaisons on imc-process.

The other item for which I'm thankful is the appeal for more
facilitators immediately issued by Garcon as we began to address these
issues:

Both of the above items are solid examples of words and actions done in
good faith to help restore our functions, replenish our spent energies
and to address our inefficiencies.
