I have done some reading about the Darwin situation, and I have yet  
to read one positive, constructive word from the hand of Mick. It is  
an endless stream of negativity directed at others. He has been  
kicked off of other IMC lists for abusive writing towards multiple  
imc collectives!

Now this is not directed at any individual -  how pathetic is it to  
let this sort of stuff go on? At least half a dozen local imc  
collectives have collapsed because of the inability to kick out  
someone who is destructive. And now we are going to waste our time  
even discussing putting Mick on this list?

Any creature to be alive, has to have both an ability to take in  
nutrition, and an immune system to protect from influences negative  
to that creature. Indymedia needs to have a better immune system.  
There is an ideological compulsion to be 'open' and many good people  
have stopped their involvement with indymedia because they do not  
wish to be abused in a situation where they can do little about it  
but leave. I have seen, both at the local and global level, indymedia  
in effect, side with abusers because of inability to respond so that  
abuse continues.

Indymedia can be so disempowering in this regard.
