Dear ng,
I accuse the people who run German IndyMedia of elitist censorship on a
grand scale which obstructs the international activism that the IMC movement
is meant to foster, support and carry.
They practise intellectual apartheid by insisting that everything posted has
to be the original work of the person posting. I contend that there are IMC
users who cannot or don't want to write for various reasons, not the least
of which is underprivileged education. To deny them the chance to join a
petition, for example, locks them out of political participation.
What looks so disjointed to you now - and I agree it must look like that,
but I haven't thought of a way to improve the presention
yet - is my attempt to string together the examples of their censorship.
Pointing out each case on its own will cause the older ones to be forgotten
and make everything look less atrocious than it is.
And by the way, I am astonished to see imc-communication at lists.indymedia.org
in your cc. I thought I was on the "process" list. Is that different?
Regards,
Diet
