Concept of Netzwerk Videoaktivismus ('Videoactivism Network')for
mediawork around the G8 2007 in Heiligendamm

The Netzwerk Videoaktivismus consists of filmmakers, who have set the
goal to help activists to present their own story and publicize it
through the medium of video. There have already been work-meetings on
this topic, 3-4 times a year, since spring 2005. These meetings have
consisted of existing networks as well as various groups and
individuals.(for more info: www.videoactivism.de). The current focus of
the network is the mobilization for and reporting on the anti-G8
protests. To this point, we have discussed the following concept, which
we would like to present here:


Basics of Videoactivism

Videorecordings will be published on indymedia or similar structures.
Filmed actions will generally be pixelated, ie. people will be made
unrecognizable unless the filmed person has explicitly said otherwise.
The transmission of recordings by either commercial or public TV
stations is only at the wish of the group being filmed. The one
exception is release of video to expose Nazis. All material will be
furnished with a logo to make copyleft violations more difficult. We
will provide a contact to handle questions from the press about footage .


Before the Summit

Videos about globalization will be produced and published. A collection
of films on that topic will be put together for arthouse cinemas, public
access TV channels, and other venues. This collection is intended for
screening before the summit, but will be shown during and afterwards as
well. A specialized website for the purpose of distributing videos
around the g8 will be built or linked to from an existing site. We hope
to make multilingual subtitles available, and for that aim, we begin to
build a pool of translators.


During the Summit

Production of videoclips for the internet, to download or stream, as
well as temporary live-streams. This will provide up-to-date video
coverage of the summit from our perspective.


Working together with other media

We wish to work together with free radios and other videoactivists. To
this end, we seek preparatory discussions on the local, regional,
national, and international levels. On the level of information
exchange, we hope for cooperation with NGOs.


Infrastructure

The videoactivist network favors more decentralized locations for A/V
production. A mobile editting studio will be installed. An info-dispatch
for media activistsshould be build to collect and verify information.

Concept du reseau des activistes vidéo pour la communication médiatique
autour du sommet des G8 2007 à Heiligendamm


Le reseau des activistes vidéo est un reseau de réalisateurs/-trices de
vidéos qui a pour but de donner la paroles aux activistes et de créer
pour eux une plate-forme de communication tourné vers le publique par le
médium vidéo. Différents collectifs et individus participent à ce reseau
qui s'est fondé en printemps 2005 et qui organise des réunions de
travail tous les 3 ou 4 mois (pour plus d'infos voir www.videoactivism.de

En ce moment, le resau met un accent sur la mobilisation contre le
sommet des G8 2007 et les informations sur les protestations. Pour cela,
nous avons developé un concept que nous aimerions présenter par la suite.

Principes de base des activistes vidéo

Les films seront publiés sur Indymedia et/ou sur des sites similaires.
Tous les images d'actions seront pixelisées, c'est-à-dire que les
personnes qui y apparaissent seront rendus méconnaissables sauf s'ils
souhaitent le contraire. Les films ne seront pas transmis à des chaînes
de télévision publiques ou privées sauf si le collectif producteur du
film le veut, ou pour dénoncer des nazis.

Tout le matériel sera muni d'un logo pour protéger les droits d'auteur.
De plus, nous allons créer des possibilités de contact pour répondre aux
demandes de la presse.

Avant le sommet

Nous produisons préalablement des émissions sur la mondialisation. Par
ailleurs, nous souhaitons rassembler des films sur ce thème pour les
mettre à la disposition de cinés d'arts et d'essais, de télévisions
libres et de collectifs qui voudraient les projeter publiquement -
avant, pendant ou après le sommet. De plus, nous allons creer une
fênetre vidéo (site internet) et mettre des liens sur des sites déjà
existants. Nous souhaitons proposer des
sous-titres dans plusieurs langues et organiser pour cela un pool de
traducteurs/-trices.

Pendant le sommet

Production de vidéo-clips qui seront pulié sur Internet et qui seront à
télécharger, en streaming et temporairement en streaming live.

Coopération avec d'autre médias

Nous souhaitons coopérer avec des radios libres et d'autres activistes
vidéo. Pour cela, nous cherchons à nous échanger sur le niveau local,
régional, national et international le plus tôt possible. Pour tous ce
qui est échange d'informations, nous envisageons une coopération avec
des ONG.

Infrastructure

Le réseau des activistes vidéo favorise un système décentral pour la
production de contenus audiovisuelles. Nous allons mettre à la
disposition de tous une table de montage mobile. Par ailleurs, nous
allons mettre en place un
point info pour rassembler et vérifier les informations.

Powyzsze zgrupowanie jest zgrupowaniem filmowcow, ktorych celem jest
dopuszczenie aktywistek i aktywistow do glosu i dzieki medium Video
stworzyc paltforme w  opinii publicznej.
Zalozone w 2005 roku zgrupowanie sklada sie z roznych grup i
pojedynczych osob, ktore spotykaja sie trzy razy w roku w calu wymiany

Tymczasowym celem zgrupowania jest mobilizacja i skladnie raportow,
ktore dotycza protestow odnosnie G8 2007.
W ramach wymiany informacji (dotyczacych G8) zostal stworzony i
dyskutowany konzept, ktory ponizej chcielibysmy przedstawic.

Zasady aktywistek&aktwistow-Video
Nagrania Video bede publikowana na portalu Indimedii lub strukluralnie
Indimedii  podonych portalach.
Nakrecana akcje bede zasadniczo publikowana tak aby osoby znajdujace sie
na danym nagraniu nie byly rozpoznawalne, z wyjatkiem omowienia czegos
innego z sfilmowana osoba.
Odtwarzanie nagran w rozglosniach publicznych lub prywatnych odbywa sie
jedynie na zaczenie grupy, ktora zostala sfilmowana lub bedzie
wykorzystywane do rozpoznawania nazistow.
Wszystkie materialy bede posiadaly logo aby w ten sposob utrudnic
wykroczenia licencjackie.
Stworzona zostanie mozliwosc kontaktu z grupa dla zainteresowanej
naszymi nagraniami prasy.

Przed szczytem
Audycje/filmowe programy dotyczace powyzej wspomnianego tematu zostana
przed-produkowane i opublikowane.
Kolekcja filmow odnoszaca sie do powyzszego tematu zostanie na czas
przed ale i po szczycie na potrzeby np. kin konesera lub innych
mozliwych miejsc, w ktorych istnieje mozliwosc ich przedstawiania,
kolekcjonowana.
Do tego cel (zbieranie gotowch materialow) zostanie stworzona specjalna
strone internetowa (website), ktora bedzie mogla zostac dolaczona do
innych stron innych istniejacych juz struktur.
Staramy sie stworzyc wielojezyczny podzial owej strony i do tego celu
chcielibysmy przedwczesnie zorganizowac grupe tlumaczek&tlumaczy.

W trakcie szczytu
Produkcja clipow video dla internetu z mozliwoscia ich sciagania.

Wspolpraca z innymi mediami
Zgrupowanie zyczy sobie wspolprace z „wolnymi/alternatywnymi” radiami
lub innymi grupami zamujacymi sie medium viedo.
W tym celu poszukujemy wczesnej mozliwosci (przd G8) wymiany na poziomie
lokalnym, regionalnym, ogolokrajowym i takze internacjonalym.
W kewstii wymiany informacji dazym do wspolpracy z NGOs.

Do produkcji nad publikacjami zgrupowanie faworyzuje decentralistyczne
miejsca. Do tego cel zostana urzoadzone przenosne miejsca do pracy nad

Concepto de la red de video-activistas para el trabajo durante la cumbre
del G8 2007 en Heiligendamm


La red de video-activistas es una red de video-filmador at s que tienen como
objetivo darles la voz a l at s activistas mism at s y a brindarles con el
video una
plataforma en la vida pública. En la red, que se fundó en primavera del
2005,
participan distintos grupos y personas que se reunen 3 a 4 veces al año para
planificar su trabajo (más información: www.videoactivism.de)
Un enfoque temporal es la movilización para y la cobertura de las protestas
contra el G8 2007. En este marco discutimos el concepto siguiente que aquí
queremos presentar:

Puntos básicos para l at s video-activistas:

Las filmaciones se publican en indymedia o en plataformas afines.
Por lo general se modifican (“pixelan”) las actividades filmadas del
modo que no
se puedan identificar a las personas menos que no sea convenido de
antemano con
las personas implicadas. Se les pasan las filmaciones a canales públicos o
privados sólo si el grupo lo quiere o para denunciar a los nazis.
A todo el material se pone un logo para prevenir contravenciones de
licencia.
Vamos a instalar un punto de contacto para preguntas por parte de la prensa.

Antes de la cumbre
Vamos a producir y publicar cortos sobre la globalización. Vamos a juntar
películas con respecto al tema para poder proyectarlas en cines
alternativos,
canales abiertos otros lugares posibles para antes, durante y después de la
cumbre. Para los videos vamos a construir un espacio específico (una página
web) o a juntarlo a estructuras ya existentes. Queremos hacer subtítulos en
varios idiomas, por ello vamos a crear a tiempo un pool de traductor at s.

Durante la cumbre
Producción de videoclips para Internet, para bajar o para hacer
streaming/download junto con un live-stream temporal.

Colaboración con otros medios
Queremos tener una cooperación con radios libres y con otr at s
video-activistas.
Por ello buscamos a tiempo el intercambio a nivel local, regional,
national e
incluso international. Para intercambiar informaciones intentamos
colaborar con
ONGs.

Infraestructura
La red de video-activistas prefiere varios lugares decentrales para
producir las
publicaciones a/v. Va a haber varios plazas de producción móviles. Se va a
instalar un info-dispatch para activistas de medios para juntar y comprobar
informaciones.

Selbstverständnis des Netzwerk Videoaktivismus zur Medienarbeit rund um
den G8 2007 in Heiligendamm

Das VideoaktivistInnen-Netzwerk ist ein Netzwerk von VideofilmerInnen,
die sich zum Ziel gesetzt haben, AktivistInnen selbst zu Wort kommen zu
lassen und ihnen mit dem Medium Video eine Plattform in der
Öffentlichkeit zu geben. In dem seit Frühjahr 2005 bestehenden Netzwerk
sind unterschiedliche Gruppe und Einzelpersonen vertreten, die 3-4 mal
im Jahr Arbeitstreffen organisieren.
Ein temporärer Schwerpunkt des Netzwerkes ist die Mobilisierung und
Berichterstattung rund um die Proteste gegen den G8 2007. In diesem
Rahmen ist das folgende Konzept diskutiert worden, was wir hiermit
vorstellen möchten.

Basics der Video-AktivistInnen
Videoaufnahmen werden auf indymedia oder indymedia nahe stehenden
Strukturen veröffentlicht. Gefilmte Aktionen werden grundsätzlich
verpixelt, d.h. Personen werden unkenntlich gemacht, ausser es ist mit
den abgebildeten Personen anderes abgesprochen. Die Weitergabe von
Aufnahmen an öffentlich-rechtliche oder private Sendeanstalten erfolgt
nur auf Wunsch der Gruppe, die gefilmt wurde, oder zum Outen von Nazis.
Alles Material wird mit einem Logo versehen um Lizenzvergehen zu
erschweren. Es wird eine Kontaktmöglichkeit für Anfragen der Presse
eingerichtet.

Vor dem Gipfel
Es werden Beiträge rund um Globalisierung vorproduziert und
veröffentlicht. Eine Sammlung von Filmen zum Thema wird zusammengetragen
für Programmkinos, Offene Kanäle und andere mögliche Vorführorte, für
die Zeit vor dem Gipfel, aber auch während des Gipfels und danach. Ein
spezielles Videofenster (Webside) wird aufgebaut oder an bereits
vorhandene Strukturen verlinkt. Es besteht der Anspruch, mehrsprachige
Untertitelungen zu machen und dafür einen ÜbersetzerInnen-Pool aufzubauen.

Während des Gipfels
Produktion von Videoclips fürs Internet, zum downloaden oder
streaming/download in Verbindung mit temporärem live-stream.

Zusammenarbeit mit anderen Medien
Die Zusammenarbeit mit freien Radios und anderen Video-AktivistInnen
wird gewünscht. Zu diesem Zweck wird ein frühzeitiger Austausch gesucht,
auf lokaler und regionaler, bundesweiter und auch internationaler Ebene.
Auf der Ebene von Informationsaustausch wird eine Zusammenarbeit mit
NGOs angestrebt.

Infrastruktur
Das VideoaktivistInnen-Netzwerk favorisiert mehrere dezentrale Orte zur
Produktion von a/v-Publikationen. Es werden mobile Schnittplätze
eingerichtet.
Ein Info-dispatch für Medien-AktivistInnen soll aufgebaut werden zum
Sammeln und Überprüfen von Informationen.
