Hi

At the 23C3 Conference [1] in Berlin, Germany at the end of last year,
George Danezis [2], a Belgian Ph.D. and self-described "anonymity
designer, and traffic analysis enthusiast" held a talk about "an
Introduction to Traffic Analysis." [3]

On one of his slides [4] (the exact one isn't in there for privacy
policy) he presented a study, where a research team mined sarai [5], the
lists.indymedia.org server to create a network diagram of indymedia list
usage and important persons creating links between lists. He describes
it as "a list of 100 people in order that you should shoot to actually
completely fragment this network." :)

I recall the study being presented on indymedia lists already quite a
while ago (a year or so?), but quick googling failed me.

There's a video recording of his talk available for download [6], 222425
KB, MPEG v4, MD5 2a397aaa37ad2a9c1f3e20e31302f772.
The exact time the study was talked about is 51:22 - 53:05 and a Q&A at
54:35 - 56:37.
