hi I really dont want to get in the midle of it because I believe this is
something that should be discussed locally by the 2 collectives in
venezuela and resolved there first...like ana said.

but isnt only about what joe is saying, i believe the both collectives has
very strong reasons and they should sit and talk. But one isn't blocking
the other just because it's holds the country name on their domain...

specially because the venezuela collective only holds that domain because
they passed throught the new imc process together with the people who are
nowadays part of venezuela centro (some did participated at this process
at the time), and at the time this domain went for the only one collective
doing the process...which makes sense

now we have two collectives from the same country, and only one domain
because the first site maded, but this doesnt stop at all that other
collectives can exist. Because we have on our network for instance, cases
where the domain with the country name, leads to a page with links to the
collectives that exists in cities of that country. like the case with
chile.

Anyways from all I have read so far from both collectives the reasons goes
are more deep then just because of a domain name.

Also the fact that a collective with a country name that it is not based
in many cities in that country(only 2), havent happen to be a reason to be
classified as a less representative collecitve or something inside of the
indymedia network. Again, to clarify, that inside of indymedia network we
have many indymedia collectives in simular situation.

Anyways, I just want this to be left for them to decide first how they
would like to procedure without having people's from outside venezuela
adding weight on any side. And without underestimate any side reason.

Oi eu gostaria muito nao ter que entrar no meio disso porque eu acredito
que seja algo a ser discutido pelos coltivos localmente e resolvido por
eles...como a ana falou.

mas nao eh apenas por causa do que a joe ta falando, eu acredito que ambos
coletivos possuem razoes fortes e que devem sentar e conversar. Mas nenhum
esta bloqueando o outro apenas porque possui o nome do pais no seu
dominio.

especialmente porque o coletivo da venezuela  soh possui esse dominio
porque passou por um processo aonde pessoas do coletivo venezuela centro,
na epoca, tambem estava participando e na epoca ter esse dominio para o
unico coletivo que estava passando pelo processo de se tornar um coletivo
da rede indymedia fazia sentido.

Agora nos temos dois coletivos no mesmo pais, um soh tem o domino porque
foi o primeiro a ser feito mas isso nao impede em nada a existencia de
outros coletivos. Jah que na nossa rede temos por exemplo, casos aonde uma
pagina com um dominio que leva o nome do pais, ser uma pagina com links
para os coletivos que existem nas cidades daquele pais. Como eh o caso do
chile.

De tudo que eu li ateh agora dos dois coletivos as razoes que eles possuem
vai muito alem de um dominio.

O fato de um coletivo com um dominio com o nome do pais, nao ter base em
varias cidades desse pais (apenas 2), nunca foi razao para classificar o
coletivo como menos representativo ou algo assim dentro da rede indymedia.
Novamente, para clarificar, dentro da rede indymedia existem muitos
coletivos em situacao semelhante. Possue o nome do pais no dominio e gente
ajudando de apenas algumas cidades (quando nao eh apenas da capital).

De qualquer forma, eu acho que isso deve ser deixado para que os coletivos
decidir localmente sem ter gente de fora adicionando peso pra um lado ou
para o outro. sem subestimar as razoes de qualquer lado.
