We, the October 15th Solidarity Collective, are writing to all IMCs for support.

On 15th October 2007, hundreds of armed police officers raided around
40 houses around Aotearoa after a 2-year long 'anti-terrorism'
investigation. 17 people were arrested on that day and three more on
19th February 2008 during further raids. The police tried to charged
12 people under the Terrorism Suppression Act. Permission to do so was
not granted by the solicitor-general. However, 19 people face charges
under the Arms Act which carries a 4-year maximum prison sentence.

The raids targetted indigenous activists, anarchists,
environmentalists, anti-war activists and two indymedia activists for
aotearoa.indymedia.org. After 4 weeks in jail last year, everybody is
out on bail facing a trial sometime next year.

The solidarity campaign has been strong around Aotearoa with protests,
fundraising events, info meetings etc. However, we need a whole heap
of money for accommodation (the pre-trial will be held in Auckland
this September and we are booking a marae (a Maori meeting house) for
4 weeks), transport, food and the campaign itself.

Wir, das October 15th Solidarity Kollektiv, fragen alle IMCs um
Unterstützung an.

Am Montag, den 15 Oktober 2007 durchsuchten mehr als 300
paramilitärische Polizeikräfte 40 Häuser und Projekte in Neuseeland
nach einer 2-jährigen 'Anti-Terrorismus' Untersuchung. 17 Menschen
wurden an jenem Tag und drei weitere am 19. Februar 2008 verhaftet.
Die Polizei versuchte 12 Menschen wegen Verstoss gegen das
Anti-Terrorismus Gesetz anzuklagen. Die Anklage kommt allerdings wegen
'mangelnder Beweislage' nicht zu stande. 19 Menschen sind allerdings
weiterhin wegen Verstoss gegen das Waffengesetz angeklagt

Die Razzien richteten sich gegen indigene Aktivist_innen,
Anarchist_innen, Umweltschützer_innen und Anti-Kriegs-Aktivist_innen
und zwei Indymedia Aktivisten von aotearoa.indymedia.org. Nach 4 Woche
im Knast letztes Jahr sind alle Angeklagten aus der Untsuchungshaft
entlassen und ein Prozess wird wohl nächstes Jahr statt finden.

Die Solidaritätskampagne war und ist gross in Aotearoa mit
Demonstrationen, fundraising events, Info-Veranstaltungen etc. Wir
brauchen aber eine ganze Menge Geld für Unterkunft (die Vorverhandlung
findet im September in Auckland statt und wir buchen eine Marae (ein
Maori Gemeinschaftshaus) für 4 Wochen), Transport, Essen und die
Kampagne selber.
