Hello to all,
Marking 2 years and 1 month since I began as editor (and de facto
producer) of the program, and about 8 years since the program began,
the June 2008 installment of Indymedia Newsreal is done, but pretty
sad. Despite all of my pleading last month and the several
supportive (in word if not deed) emails I received as a result, I
have only received one submission since. Very frustrating. Hence the
show consists of that 1 submission, which is excellent (thanx
Marcos!) plus the special message I included in last month's show,
and 2 other pieces of mine.
This can't continue. If the contributions go on at this dismal level
for another month, I'll probably pronounce Newsreal dead (at least
as a monthly program, as far as I'm concerned. Others would of course
be welcome to attempt to ressurect it). Eight years is a long time.
Maybe long enough? Time will tell, soon.
Producers have till June 17 to get me segments for the July show, and
help make Newsreal viable again. Spread the word, if you care.
Again, instructions on how to contribute are here:

My special video message about Newsreal is now available on YouTube
(i know, blech)

as well as other places online, like here: http://panleft.net/cms/
