COMMUNITY NEWSPAPER PROGRAMME

AMAC would like to call for expressions of interest in a proposed Community
Newspaper Programme for journalists from community and media organisations.
(The term "community" is used broadly here to include grassroots and
non-profit community media as well as commercial community newspapers.

A 16-week work-based journalism training programme will be run at AMAC in
Cape Town between April and December 2006.

In alternate weeks learners on the programme will implement their learning
on their organisation's newspaper or newsletter.  Some unemployed learners
will work on the AMAC publication, Just Youth.
