Eighteen months ago 3 million people stood in Hyde Park & 55% of the British people saying that the war was wrong.Telling the MP's what will happen in the future. The peace movement did not build on that support.Like a person in a violent relationship afraid to leave, the peace movement & the left afraid to leave the Labour Party.Britain has changed there is not a Left or Right in the house of commons just two groups the pro-war & anti-war.The Labour 245,Tories 139,6 UUP,4 DUP & 1 independent who voted for the Iraq War These see the world in a different way. They voted for the war because they are politically ambitious, weak, with no convictions & see the world with fear in their eyes. The anti-war movement are trying to change the nature of the MP's (we do not have the time)where we should be changing them.It is a choice of fear or hope. The next election will not be who wins but who looses. In the European Elections pro-war MP's with majority of 30 thousand were loosing or winning by a
100 votes.Tony Blair must not be allowed to have a power base(even if that is one MP).The peace movement & Left must mobilize & work as a force to campaign against every MP that voted for the Iraq war & support every MP that voted against the war. With the speech made by George Bush & the new laws here, this is our last chance.A new dark age but this time we can not say we are not responsible. In July 2005 the G8 is happening. If Tony Blair is still prime minister how can we look the world in the face. The first step to stop world poverty is to stop war.See if your MP's vote for the Iraq war go to
