Indycymru existed for some years on the basis of publishing everything
submitted that was not criminal, copyright, obscene, or commercial
advertising etc. Anything not liked would be answered.

Information about the Greenwar initial Gathering did not fit those
exclusion terms but someone anonymously deleted it, and the subsequent
report.

An item in preparation, about Cilmeri was also deleted.

Often there would only be thirty or forty reads of each individual page
showing on the front page, but on the same day there would be five
thousand page reads of the pages that had fallen off the individual
counter. We once hit seven thosand page reads in one day. They must have
been looking at back numbers. the most reads of a page while on the
front page was 1400. (The result of a letter to a US newspaper.)

The basic problem was always that people did not send in any articles.
Unless they were complaints about the lack of articles.

Indycymru was initiated at an Earth First! Summer Gathering near Snowdon
in North Wales. Determined seekers might find a website for such a
Gathering in South East Wales this August, but offers from locals to
help get no acknowledgement or return contact so it is a bit suspicious.

If Indycymru is to be restored with its archives intact someone will
have to straighten out the sabotage in the software. They are more
likely to succeed with a Linux machine and knowledge of PHP.

May the first, Thirteen hundred hours, in the History Room at Old
College in Aberystwyth is where things might start to be sorted out.

http://lists.indymedia.org/mailman/listinfo/imc-cymru ( imc-cymru at
lists.indymedia.org) is the discussion list for those interested, and
the submission to IMC based on the original Portuguese statement can be
seen in the archive there. There has been no return comment as yet. It
was sent on 21/03/06 at 14:09 as "[Imc-cymru] IMC application" to
new-imc at indymedia.org <mailto:new-imc at indymedia.org> .
