Dear Kelvin,
I take it you are unlikely to go to Cilmeri on Saturday. Or to go to
the South Wales Linux Users Group in Carmarthen Wetherspoons on the
evening of the 19th. I intend to be at those.
In case you do not know- UK is does not stand for United Kingdom, but
United Kollectives.
Building a new Indycymru site starts when it is known if it can be an
indymedia linked site. Basically we await a formal rejection to the
application, if they were going to approve we should have heard by now.
The Indycymru Editors did not apply to become part of the United
Konformists you seem so keen to join. Indycymru ran for about four
years before the sabotage that occurred soon after Indycymru's IMC
application was sent in.
As anyone can already post anything they like on the UK site until it is
hidden, putting up a welsh section is a bit pointless, particularly as
it involves paying your way with doing a share of the hiding on the UK
site, and people seem unwilling to do that.
What is hidden comes up on
http://www.indymedia.org.uk/en/viewallposts.html but they limit the
number that can be seen, they soon vanish into just numbers. So it is
difficult to follow discussions and argument - they hide anything that
is not "News". It is not like Indycymru was where there was a long
list of the archive in date order anyone could call up to follow or
contribute an argument. I only know of one item (Greenwar Gathering
announcement) that was taken down from there - I believe by someone who
was later an Editor in UKindymedia. Though the draft of a document in
process of being written to persuade Free Wales Army people to take a
stronger anti-racist line was dumped by an unknown person -probably the
same one.
As far as I am concerned Indycymu disseminated ideas. That is not a
function of UK
And indycymru gave support to all the Nations in the same conquered
condition as Wales. The Basques, West Papua, Hawaii, Bougainville, etc
etc. So who do you think were the people who did the sabotage?
Reactionary Imperialists determined to 'pacify' the resistance to a
Capitalism that Blair now evolves into Fascism?
