I guess that part of the issue for me is that I live only a few miles 
from the Welsh border.  We often get support from the English borders 
(Chester, Oswestry, Wirral etc.) for actions and therefore many things 
which we might post as Wrexham Peace & Justice Forum (and other things 
which happen in and around Wrexham) are of just as much interest to 
English people as Welsh.  So I want to post to indymedia uk and I would 
really like there to be a button which would automatically send my post 
to a regional uk indymedia site where things happening in Wales would be 
all collected together in one place.  I also feel that Welsh people 
reading indymedia might be more inclined to share their news there if 
there was a Wales region, because their recent news would stay near the 
front of a Wales regional site longer than it does on the uk-wide site, 
would be seen by more Welsh people, and give more opportunities for 
mutual support/networking etc. than posts which disappear down the list 
in half a day.

I don't have an issue with hiding posts that don't meet the indymedia 
guidelines.  They are in any case all there if anyone wants to look at 
them, and admins who hide posts have to justify why they have done so.  
I also think the guidelines about what can be posted are fine - I'd 
rather it worked like that than have to wade through heaps of unsorted 
repetitive rant.  A totally unmoderated site can easily become unusable 
because of this.

I agree with GwentAnarchists that the CyW site is not great to use at 
the moment.  If a new site is being developed for Wales, then that's 
wonderful and fantastic, and when it happens I'm sure people will use it 
(unless it encounters the sort of problems which can come with no 
moderation).  But I still think there's a place for a Wales section on 
Indymedia UK for the reasons above, preferably using the help offered by 
united kollectives to get the thing up and running.
