[Imc-cymru] the next step...

1. It is a Social Forum Cymru Forum website hosted by Cynefin y Werin/Common Ground.
  2. 'It's got an awful layout....'
a.I repeat: from the SFC in Aberystwyth a loose group of people are working on developing the 'International, European and National (meaning Welsh National) News
section. You people are welcome, and invited to to join in this work.
      b. The 'Social Forum Activist Themes' Section e.g. Agriculture & Rural Wales, Culture, Education etc,. Reflects the Existing organisations linked in Networks that are fighting on these specific issues in Wales (Many of whom had workshops, Seminars at Aberystwyth.)
Organisations are encouraged to talk about their issues, events, give background information, discuss these particular things there, and post News on them in that section.(There are similar parallel, and more, Networks working on Specific Issues
on an All-European level - often with their own E-Lists and some with websites)

2.Isn't that 'Index of Networks Activity' more user-friendly than the Indymedia sites ?

3.The advantage is that it is not sensored as is the Indymedia UK site (see Ilyan's postings - with his extensive experience and observation of it).

4.I contacted the admin element on your registration problem - he will get back to me on it.

  5. It is a simple registration set-up, you can keep your Anonimity. You can use any username.

  6. I repeat - it is a SFCymru site hosted by Cynefin Y Werin/Common Ground and does not require support for it's Manifesto.
It operates, more or less, on the World Social Forum 'Charter of Principles' INCLUSIVE guidelines (which of course are also open to challenge).

7.But you are still not putting arguments forward as to why people interested in developing an Effective Influential Independent Media in Cymru/Wales should set up a 'Welsh oriented site' within Indymedia UK. No?

  Hwyl, Salud, Bottoms-Up.

The Cynefin Y Werin forum is not much use to be honest
becasue

1) its got an awful layout that means you have to
trawl through a dozen subsites to find stuff

2) my Account is suspended for some reason so can't
post there. The fact you have to register in the first
place is completely shit too.

3) Anarchists (and many others) do not share the views
of Cynefin Y Werin's Manifesto (though I'm sure they
mean well and everything)
