group of the english language branch of Cyprus
IndyMedia. I write in relation to this article you

We would like to pursue this issue further with you,
and to consider giving it a broader publication.

The issues you mention relevant to George Kallis, the
GK Banking Company, and 
MOKAS (Unit for Combating Money Laundering), and also
the implications for certain elements of the
establishment on our island, are potentially
explosive.

We would like to have access to some independent
verification of the story or additional materials, if
possible, before proceeding, and also to enrich it
with some of our own investigations. Can you suggest
some materials we can read about it? Is there anything
we can see online? Can you suggest some avenues for us
to research further, especially any further
connections to this scandal with specific corporations
or individuals in Cyprus?

Also, it seems from your article that Sergeant Andreas
Papadopoulos is willing to help. Can you please tell
him that if he likes, he can get in touch with me and
we can explore these themes together? He knows how to

In this recent decade, there have been several
allegations related to fraud and money laundering
which were publicized in connection with prominent
Cypriot individuals and politicians. Some have been
verified to be real crimes, whereas in other
allegations, the only crime involved was the
allegation itself, motivated by political plots in
local or regional geo-political power struggles. We
would like your help to enable our community to become
better able to tell the difference between some of
these reports.
