Darwin Collective,
THE SPIRIT OF EUREKA WAS GREED AND RUM!
http://dimc.axxs.org/?action=newswire&parentview=2648
The article is historically inaccurate and posted with the intention to
spread disinformation and promote racism.
The poster is almost certainly aligned with the Australian Nationalist
Movement, a racist rightwing white supremicist neo-nazi organisation
with links to the Australia First Party, National Republicans and
Patriotic Youth League.
Subsequent comments are posted with links to the Australian Nationalism
Information Database which attempts to historically justify racism and
white supremicism in Australia.
According to your editorial policy posts can be removed or hidden if
they contravene the policy. Accordingly, I propose that the above
article contravenes the editorial policy and should be hidden for the
following reasons:
* The post is incorrect and misleading. The post attempts to spread
disinformation. The first comment impersonates another individual/
organisation - the Perth Indymedia Collective.
* The Post promote racism, fascism, and xenophobia.
* The Post is devoid of content or analysis and appears to be published
with the sole purpose of disruption.
For a contemporary account of Eureka read Joe Toscano's review of the
Eureka rebellion here:

For an account which tries to be factual with a neutral point of view,
see wikipedia:

Please advise me of any decision and action you take on this request.
